Paint it Green, remove Red........

“Long ago, there was a king called Kamunist, he was a great ruler and had a great control over his state. He was very clever and had immense administrative acumen. With his wisdom and acute knowledge of people management the King became almost invincible and ruled his state for decades”.
One fine morning a noble Brahmin came to the state and after looking at the status of people and the economy of state, he decided to go the king. When king heard about the Brahmin he gracefully invited him to his court and welcomed him to the court.
Then the king asked the brahmin,“Hey brahmin, I am grateful to you that you arrived at my door, what can I do for you? Brahmin replied, “Rajan! I heard a lot about you & your administrative acumen and therefore I came all along to see you and to see the people.
King Kammunist became happy after hearing Brahmin’s words, he further asked,”so what did you find, did you liked my administration, my courtmen, the prosperity in the estate?
Brahmin took a pause, thought and then said, “O King Kammunist, I appreciate your administrative skills and have full faith in your courtmen but when it comes to prosperity among the people, I am afraid your state takes the back seat. This is the only reason I came all the way to understand your definition of prosperity.”
King was surprised, annoyed as well. He said,”Look at my court, my castle, my capital city which is comaprable to none”. Go around and have a look at the cultural heritage I have kept intact in all these years, I have done all good things to restore and save the pride of my people.
Brahmin smiled and said,”this is what I want to tell you my King, I agree your court, castle, capital city is incomaparable, your culture and its heritage is an epic in itself but have you looked beyond the walls of your castle? Did you tried to look at the other cities apart from your capital? In the name of cultural heritage, you blocked the doors of fresh ideas, innovation, and you succeeded to inculcate a false pride among your people which is baseless atleast in modern times. Your people are happy with their past but have uncertain future. But it is time for change!!
Its not that your people love you or respect you, but they don’t have any option. They expect a lot from you but afraid of your cadres who torture them, suppress them, deprive them from justice. This is all because of your complacency. You assumed that nobody can dethrone you ever but remember one thing my dear King “Change is inevitatble, either you change or the time will change you”.
The King Kammunist realised his fault and fell on the Brahmins’ feet. He promised that he will not be myopic anymore and will try to provide justice to all the people of state. The king ordered his courtmen to go the people and work for the people. Thus, the king Kammunist regained the lost respect from the people and ruled happily for long.
Wow, a nice story for kids, a nice lecture on justice and expectations from a leader. Lets come back to the ground now, immoral, concrete ground in the scroching heat.
Lets relive the above story in the perspective. West Bengal is the state and the King Kammunist (Communists) and the Brahmin (may be Ms.Bannerjee). The story coincides ditto on the ground realities of WB but only with a slight change in the last paragraph of the story.
In the story the King Kammunist realised his fault and pledged to tighten all screws in his administration for bringing justice, egalitarian societal norms and true prosperity among its people. But in reality, the CPI(M) govt never acknowledged his faults, its mistakes, atrocities over the people and its deeds which destroyed the industries, business houses, economy of west bengal in the name of change or social reforms.
They took the mandate of people for granted and I believe this is time to make them understand that “Change is inevitable”.
Let’s pray, the fresh mandate will “Remove Red and Paint it green”.
That it will remove the outdated, anti-development red with the Green which stands for prosperity, growth and development.
I wish the King Kammunist of modern times should have heard the Brahmin but I reckon its too late and one thing is inevitable now ……………………………”Green prevailing over Red”

Osama Killled: A Perspective !!

News came in the early morning on a news channel that Osama Bin Laden was found & killed at some place in Pakistan. I was shocked with the news, that how come a person like Osama can be killed.
So here is my analysis of the truth behind curtains: I used three spects to look at the proceedings.
1. Pakistan : A nation which terms itself as victim of terrorism, an ally of US, staunch supporter of counter terrorism operations in Afganistan and by virtue of it, it earns millions of dollars as free ball from US, a full range of battle ready equipments, explosives, technologies from the bosses sitting in white house.
But inadvertantly, against all claims illustrated earlier in the above para, Pakistan has earned the status of Safe Heaven for the millitants, terrorist, extemists from all over the world. Pakistan because of its strategic position which gives it neighbours like Iran in west, afganistan in north n arabian sea in the south-west makes itself as an impeccable need for United States which needs Pakistan land for its operations in Afganistan & for operations against Iran, if at all required in recent future.
But what makes Pakistan so vulnerable & prone to extemist dominence? Answer is easy & simple. Pakistan draws its power from the Millitary which plays games hand in hand with ISI. All games concentrate on one thing which is pro-muslim regime in the world. Its all war-plans are kept at the front with India on the charts. And, now with Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Afganistan under US scanner, Pakistan was only safe heaven for terrorists & extremists across asia.
Lets come back to Osama!
Osama Bin Laden is a personality which is not dispensable so easily therefore there can be many interpretations about the entire proceedings & its pros – cons as well.
a) Pakistan was unaware of entire operation. If this is true, then it is not impossible assumption that US will declare a sea change in its foreign policy with respect to Pakistan. If this is true, then US & its allies must be in process to declare something nasty against pakistan in coming days.
But if it is not true, that is, if Pakistan authorities were taken in confidence at all, then it simply means that some barter has been done. Or Al-queda is ready to be given some leeway in order to regroup & Pakistan is going to get some leaps in terms of financial assistance or millitary revamp.
If Pakistan allowed US to go ahead with Osama then it simply means that there was no option left for Pak government & in bargain they must have been failed heavily.
Still truth is behind the curtains!!!

b) United States: 10 years of persuit, 10 long years of hope against the devil which cost US a dent in their security claims, which rampaged the US claims of being the safest place to live on the planet. Finally they brought Osama to justice. But what it means for US to get Osama killed?
If you see recent past, President Obama is incessently failing at domestic, international fronts to keep going against fight for terrorism because everywhere they failed, be it Iraq, be it Afganistan or now recent example of Gaddafi regime in Libya. Questions were coming from all corners of the world about the efficacy of the US operations, huge claims and this is the moment when all critics are shut for a while, all the waste of tax payers money lost in last 10 years is justified in a sense.
This success may work as a breather for Obama government.
But it may raise a rage against the US & its allies across the globe which is a new threat & a discussion point now. Osama dead is dengerous than Osama alive.
c) India : Sadly indian government is not in position to comment or act swiftly after all happenings in last 2 days, why? Because all top brains are working hard in West Bengal elections, corruption cases, PAC report, 2G spectrum scam, Anna Hazare & allies. So nobody has literally any time to respond & act in the nations interest.
Moreover they don’t even have time to look for missing chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh.
***************************************************
As the news have arrived that Mr. Dorjee Khandu is dead in the chopper crash, the media is paying a formal coverage to the one of most unprecedented & unexpected departure of a popular chief minister who is unlike other CMs across India was a true representative of his people without any caste, creed, religious biases.

Hope Indian media stops covering only the meaty bones for TRP but try to represent what is happening in the society at large.
I am signing out with prayers for slain CM of Arunachal Pradesh.....RIP !!!!

Perfume has reached : Hotel "RAWANDA"

sorry guys,

Perfume was the topic suggested to me but the case that i am referring to much more important than to have a write up over imaginary things!!!!

************************************************************************************

Hotel Rawanda : forget it, now remember : Hotel Golf
************************************************************************************

Date : 18/12/2010
Place: Abidjan
Country: Ivory Coast

Part I: Ivory Coast :

"somewhere on the other side of the globe, where the sand is as brighter as ours is, where people are the same as we are, where one third population stays below poverty line as ours is.......................................People are tortured, massacred and life is everywhere on streets in the form of blood, flesh ......

I am talking about Ivory Coast, small african country which is on the verge of another civil uprising again.
A country which earned its freedom in 1960 from french claws! Led by Mr.Houphouët-Boigny who ruled as president from independence in 1960, managed the balance of ethnic mix and religious sentiments of the ethnic groups cleverly and changed the face of this small african nation. Ivory Coast was the most developed african nation by the end of 70s with huge exports of cocoa, coffee. will you believe, Ivory Coast maintained its economic growth rate at 10% for 2 decades from 1960 to 1980. But it was followed by draught & further dissent which crippled the agriculture led economic growth and resulted in huge inflation and uprising of opposition. The old & feeble president died in 1993, & thus the one-time African success story was fraying at the edges.
The void space infuriated clashes over the succession for the presidential post!!!

Part II: Who's Who?

1) Laurent Gbagbo : Culprit

The president, a former history professor, became one of the first politicians to challenge the country’s first president, Félix Houphouët-Boigny. Imprisoned in the 1970s, he later lived in exile in France. In a hotly contested election in 2000 he ousted coup-maker Robert Guei. Repeated delays to planned polls allowed him to remain in office long after his term expired in 2005.

Illegally positioned himself as president from 2005 till date and has defied all attempts of international community to bring in peace in the nation.

2)Charles Blé Goudé : Butcher with Brain

One of Laurent Gbagbo’s most notorious supporters, Mr Blé Goudé’s Jeune Patriotes militia is able to draw thousands of armed men on to the streets. Mr Blé Goudé, who is known for his anti-French and anti-immigrant rhetoric, & his ability to rage anger against the non-ivorian ethnic groups, is under UN sanctions for his role in organising and leading anti-French and anti-northerner violence in the country in 2004.
He is the main aide in the problem.

3) Alassane Ouattara : Waiting for Justice
Former economist at the International Monetary Fund who served as prime minister 1990-93. A Muslim from the north, Mr Ouattara was barred from contesting elections after a court ruled that his mother was a Burkina Faso national. Draws support from northern region still held by rebels since the 2002-03 civil war and almost universally acknowledged abroad as the rightful president following last month’s polls.

Part III: Hotel Rawanda coming again!!!

U remeber, movie Hotel Rawanda in which Paul Rusesabagina (played Don Cheadle), the manager of the Sabena Hôtel des Mille Collines. the manager saves lives of people trapped inside the hotel which was surrounded by Hutu rebels who were searching Tutsi refugees to kill, or to massacre.
On the same line, there is a hotel in the city of Abidjan which is giving refuge to the presidential candidate Mr.Alassane Ouattara.
Name of the hotel is "Hotel Golf" http://www.golfhotel-ci.com/default_en.aspx

As per the reports that arrived yesterday, some 600 UN peace keeping soldiers were guarding the hotel from the militia of the president. As a precautionary measure they had put up razor wires all around the hotel & put up a tank at one of the corner of the hotel to retaliate any onslaught from rebel militias.....

Part IV: Are we expecting something ?

Nicolas Sarkozy, has tried his best, UN, USA are going to put up sanctions over Ivory Coast. Robert Mugabe tried to intermediate in the fray but failed. Entire african nations & the international community wants peace there...........wants the situation to be placated asap but is this possible?

Answer is in the future & which is uncertain.....Lets Hope for the Best!!!!

as it is said for the Ivory Coast warriors :
" It’s in their core: to fight to the death "
............
can it be changed as
"Don't fight, Live & Let Live!!!!
